September 13 RALLY DAY – “A MINISTRY CELEBRATION” A Ministry Fair that shares the richness of our Family’s Ministries. Sights, sounds and tastes of the Family at work.

September 20 “GOLF SUPPORTS OUR TROOPS” Our own Brian & Nancy Coleman join us to share this very special ministry that works with our wounded veterans. An inspiring program that shares a unique, caring ministry.

September 27 “WELCOME ADVENT!” A special morning as our sisters and brothers from Advent join us for our first Sunday as a merged parish. Share in this special fellowship time to welcome our new partners in ministry.

October 4 “THANK GOD FOR FAITH NURSERY SCHOOL” Time to look back and celebrate a quarter century of ministry, welcoming many of the children who were part of our program. A special time as our Founding Director, Debbie Lewis, and our current Director, Susan Nord, help us reflect and give thanks to God for this ministry.

October 11 “OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES IN FACING HUNGER” Our battle against world hunger including our CROP walk, Fall and Spring Food Drives, Hospitality Ministry, and Soup Kitchen. Our special speaker is Teresa Cintron from CWS.

October 18 & 25 “JANET DICKINSON ON ANNE FRANK” A special time as Anne Frank expert, Janet Dickinson, joins us to share the life and writing of this remarkable woman.

November 1 “TENNESSEE TALES XVIII” Our Appalachian Ministry in review and looking ahead to 2016.

November 8 “BELLS ARE RINGING WITH DOCTOR GIRVIN” A delightful musical interlude with Dr. Girvin.

November 15 “COPING WITH GRIEFConnie Palmer from Imagine, our new partner in ministry, brings new understandings of how we cope with grief.

November 22 “DR. WALKER ON ANTARTICA” A special morning as our own Dr. John Walker shares a Green Team moment on his journey to Antarctica.

November 29 “THE HUQOQ SYNAGOGUE” Our own Jocelyn Burney who is pursuing an M.A. in Religious Studies with a concentration in Second Temple Judaism at Yale Divinity School shares the story of her archeological dig in the north of Galilee where she has been working since 2011.

December 6 “THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE” A unique anecdotal perspective with our own Bob Hasbrouck sharing stories of his father who was a General there at this turning point in history.

December 13 “LUKE” An overview of Luke’s Gospel which we will be reading during the coming year.

December 20 “ELCA NATIONAL YOUTH GATHERING” Join Fred Fell and the Peer Leaders from our Family who attended this awesome gathering last summer.

January 3 “TRENDS IN SOCIETY AND RELIGION” As we begin a new year of ministry we will explore the facts and figures that surround us about religion in general and the ELCA in particular….and the implications for our Family.

January 10 “OUR MISSION PARTNERS IN NEWARK” Our Mission Partners from St. Stephan’s Grace Community in the Ironbound section of Newark join us to share their journey.

January 17 “MISSION TOGETHER” Bishop Tracie Bartholomew shares news on our mission in the NJ Synod and the ELCA.

January 24 “A MISSION PLAN” Resources for a new year and new opportunities.

January 31 “2015” And the gifts, challenges and opportunities we have shared.

February 7 “2016” A look at the year ahead and the special moments before us.

February 14 – March 20 “LENTEN LEARNINGS” Join us for our Lenten Bible Study of each week’s lessons.

April 3 “A MUSICAL GIFT” Dr. Girvin shares special music with us.

April 10 “COPING WITH GRIEF” We are joined by Connie Palmer of Imagine for a follow up program on our understandings of grief.

April 17 “JOURNEY TOGETHER IN FAITH” Join us as we explore some of the  challenges that we face as people of faith.

April 24-May 1 “HATRED AND RACE IN AMERICA…AND HERE” Our annual Holocaust observance looks at the pervasive racism and hatred that infects so  much of our lives.

May 8 ”THE HUQOQ SYNAGOGUE AND THE SURROUNDING VILLAGE” Our own Jocelyn Burney returns to share stories of her archeological digs in the Holy Land.

May 15 “PENTECOST” A special time as we rejoice at the gifts of our confirmands and give thanks for our senior Peer Leaders.

May 22 “TIME FOR THANKSGIVING AND NEW BEGINNINGS” as we mark the end of this year’s Sunday Church School ministry.
