Fall Food Collection

Fall Food Collection

Every year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, more than 130 volunteers gather to sort and pack the food collected from a community wide effort in New Providence. The volunteers include members of the community as well as members of the Family of Faith. Nearly $35,000 worth of canned and packaged goods are collected, and over 600 boxes are packed with 250 going directly to local residents through the Community Service Association of New Providence.

The Saturday following Thanksgiving, the remainder of the food is transported to the Starfish Pantry in Plainfield.

If you are interested in helping, please contact the church office at 908-464-5177. Children and youth are welcome to participate with their parents.
