MUSIC AT FAITH BENEFIT CONCERT – Sunday, December 4 at 4:00 p.m

concert-eunsooks-hongAll are welcome to join us for the next in our Music at Faith concerts.  Flutist, Eunsook Hong will be here and joined by John Girvin on piano and organ, and soprano, Christina Girvin.  Freewill offering will be collected to help support the ongoing ministries of St. Stephan’s Grace Community – ELCA in Newark’s Ironbound.

SHARING TREE – thru November 30

sharing tree 1Our Christmas gift giving ministry is underway.  Gifts will be collected and shared with Possum Way Group Home in New Providence;  Cheshire Home in Florham Park; ARC of Union County; local residents through Community Service Association of New Providence; and St. Stephan’s Grace Community Lutheran Church in Newark.  Please note the tags for St. Stephan’s Grace suggest a nominal children’s gift and small financial gift to support ELCA World Hunger.  Be sure when you take a tag from the tree in the narthex, you sign it out so that we can keep track.  Thanks to Joanne Berryman for organizing and guiding this ministry once again for us.

Tenth Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Worship

multifaith-flameThe New Providence-Berkeley Heights Interfaith Clergy Group invite you to join us for the 10th Annual Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service on Monday evening, November 21, 2016 at 7:30pm hosted by Faith Lutheran Church, 524 South Street, New Providence. Our Combined Interfaith Choir will rehearse at 6:45pm.

Participating communities of worship: Baha’is of New Providence; Berkeley Heights Asian Indian Christian Church; Bridgewater Gurudwara, Garden State Sikh Association; Congregation Ohr Shalom-Summit JCC; Faith Lutheran Church; Islamic Society of Basking Ridge; Little Flower Roman Catholic Church; New Providence & Diamond Hill United Methodist Churches; Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church; St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church; Temple Sinai; Union Village United Methodist Church; and Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Offerings of canned goods shared with Star Fish Food Pantry in Plainfield which is supported by an ecumenical group of religious organizations. Financial gifts shared with Community Hope for Veterans, a program that serves veterans at Lyons Hospital, supported by the Islamic Society of Basking Ridge.
