This summer we are once again collecting new backpacks filled with school supplies. The backpacks will be shared with area partners with connections to under-resourced communities.
We are collecting the following items:
one new backpack
one pack pens
one pack pencils
one notebook
one box of 24 crayons
one package of construction paper
one pair of safety scissors
one glue stick
one ruler
one small pencil sharpener
toothbrush
tube of toothpaste
You can drop off a completely filled backpack that includes all the above items, or any individual supplies and we will fill the backpack. Look for the green donation box outside the church doors at the bottom of the lot.
You can also make a financial gift and we will shop for you. Please mark “Backpacks” in the memo line of your check.
Filled backpacks can be placed in the chancel area near the altar and will be on display through the summer. The deadline for donations is Sunday, August 24th.
