Our Narthex collection of non-perishable food items runs through November 19. As always, our Fall Food Drive supports families and individuals through the CSA (Community Service Association) of New Providence and Star Fish Food Pantry in Plainfield with support of our New Providence local Scouts troops. Watch out for the Scouts to drop off information to your home as part of their “Scouting for Food” initiative. Or you may bring items to Faith Lutheran during regular office hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Following is a list of canned and packaged goods which are of urgent need:
spaghetti sauce, pasta, powdered milk, condiments, canned meat, pork & beans, cereal, Pop Tarts, mac & cheese, peanut butter & jelly, tea & coffee, canned vegetables, canned fruit, raisins, soup.
Many volunteers are also needed for our two in-person service days:
- Pack & Sort Day – Saturday, November 18 beginning at 9:00 a.m. – Donations are sorted and boxed up.
- Transport Day – Saturday, November 25 beginning at 8:15 a.m. – Boxes are loaded and transported to Star Fish Food Pantry in Plainfield.
