Faith will continue collecting bicycles and sewing machines on an ongoing basis. Faith will hold onto these donations until the next collection day with P4P is scheduled. Please consider making a monetary donation of $15-$20 per item, which can be made directly at www.p4p.org, to cover shipping costs which have grown exponentially. Just leave bicycle(s) in Faith Lutheran’s lower lot next to the utility shed. If you are donating a sewing machine, please leave it underneath the sheltered alcove by the main doors at the bottom of the parking lot.
In June 2023, Faith Lutheran hosted a collection day for Pedals for Progress and Sewing Peace of High Bridge, NJ (P4P). Ninety-four bicycles and 18 sewing machines were gathered, along with funds to help cover costs of shipping overseas to far-away places like Belize and Uganda. Several donors expressed gladness that someone else will benefit from a beloved old bike or a late parent’s sewing machine. And as a bonus, these items will likely be kept out of landfills for years to come.
