Services and meetings cancelled

March 16, 2020

Dear Members and Friends of the Family of Faith,

After prayerful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Sunday worship services for at least the next two weeks (March 22 and March 29) and will reassess where we are at the end of the month. In addition, there will be no Midweek liturgies, organ recitals or Choir rehearsals on Wednesdays for the remainder of Lent.

As a way to stay connected with one another during this time when we are not able to be together in person, we will be sending out email devotions and prayers during the week and are considering ways to “worship together” on Sundays. Sally and I will be making regular phone calls during the week and would ask you to check in on Family members and neighbors as well.

As of now, Dawn Patrol, our AA group will continue to meet daily at 6:30 a.m., however no other organizations will be using the building for the foreseeable future.

With so much information being shared, there is still a lot we don’t know about Covid-19, the Coronavirus. To avoid some of the information overload, take time to limit news and social media and take more time to pray, meditate, exercise or simply admire the new life that surrounds us as our days become warmer.

As we continue to evaluate where we are in the midst of these days, our sanctuary will be open for prayer and reflection. May you find peace and comfort knowing that God is with you.

Yours in Christ,
Pastor Jane
