Join us this year for a new Sunday Church School Program – Whirl All Kids Sunday School! Our new curriculum gives children the opportunity to create a community between our youngest children between the ages of 3 and 4, as well as our older students through 5th grade. Bible themes and stories are introduced in an interactive learning environment through music, art, role play and discussion, and are intended to extend beyond the church classroom to home and daily life. Each Sunday, during our Christian Education hour (9:40-10:40), students will gather together as a group in one classroom for a Welcome which will include offering, prayer, music and an interactive video sharing that day’s lesson. We will then divide into two classrooms (3-year olds – 2nd Grade and 3rd – 5th Grade) and continue to discuss the lesson with age appropriate activities. Along with our weekly lesson, the children will work on a six-to-eight-week art project supporting the theme of those lessons. At the completion of the art project, parents will be invited to join us during the Christian Education hour to learn more about their project. During the year, children will continue to learn Sunday School fundamentals which will prepare them for their First Holy Communion and Confirmation. The curriculum includes elements such as the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments, the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed, as well the books of the Bible and its many characters.
