Fall Food Drive
142 members of the Family of Faith and the community turned out to help pack and sort thousands of dollars worth of food for our Annual Fall Food Drive on Saturday Nov. 22nd. Together with the local Cub Scouts, we collected, sorted and boxed over $28,000 worth of foodin about 4 hours time. A BIG thank you to all the volunteers for their hard work! And thanks to all the members of Faith who donated food over the last month. The collection this year was overwhelmingly generous. 126 boxes of food went directly to 29 local families in need – living here in New Providence. Over 370 more boxes were then transported on Nov 29th to the Starfish Pantry, an interfaith pantry in Plainfield. Very special thanks to: Beth Bertolini, Desiree Bouchat, Diana Bjorge, Fred Fell, Marie Hays, Larry Holt, Peter McQuaid, Ruth Van Zyl, Jessica Bock, Lois Rafferty, Chris Melhuish, Jessica Short and the FNS moms and members of the Peer Leader Servant Ministry Team.
