Evening Bible Study

Join Pastor Mac for an all new evening study written especially for our Family of Faith. “Baptism, Eucharist, and Ministry Revisited,” looks at the seminal document of  the ecumenical movement, enabling us to explore where the church is today and  where we are headed, all in the context of the sacraments and our understanding of ministry. Our classes begin on Monday, September 14, running through October 12, meeting each week from7:30 till 9:00 p.m. Our classes are informal and ideal both for returning students and those new to Bible Study. Register now by calling the Church Office or by emailing Pastor Mac at pastor.mac@verizon.net.

The Diary of Anne Frank

Our next Showtunes outing will be to the Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey on Sunday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. for a special presentation of “The Diary of Anne Frank”.   Discounted tickets are $40 each.  If interested, contact the Church Office and make check payable to Faith.
In addition, there will be two prep sessions with background and history at our Adult Forum Hour on October 18 and 25.  Holocaust educator Janet Dickinson will be with us to share history and personal stories about this tragic time in history.  We have invited our sisters and brothers from Temple Ohr Shalom, Summit Jewish Community Center to join us.

Backpack Collection – through August 30th

We are collecting backpacks now through the end of the summer which will be delivered to our Mission Partners in Newark and Plainfield, and local children through the Community Service Association  and our Hospitality program.  Fill a backpack with 6 pack of pens; 6 pack of No. 2 pencils; 12 count crayon box; 1 package of lined notebook paper; 1 package of construction paper; 1 toothbrush; and 1 tube of toothpaste.  Drop off at church – all  backpacks will be on display in the chancel until they are delivered.
